Good step by Google but this is alarm bells for my site http://www.mapmyevent.com

Anyways it is solely based on Google maps api so it is a matter of time before Google starts doing the same.

I agree with that. Friend of mine Anwin recently sent Gtalk invites to everyone in his address book 'cause the warning wasn't clear enough.

I can’t think of anything more dangerous for people who haven’t made their calendars private enough. I run a Christian site for events, etc., in Connecticut and a quick search of calendars brought up all kinds of personal things. Google had better up the level of disclaimers and warnings before the lawsuits begin!
